Local School Boards
What is a Local School Board (LSB)?
The LSBs’ primary aim is to work with and through school leaders to focus on educational outcomes, pupil outcomes, safeguarding and to engage parents and the local community.
How often do they meet, for how long and when?
Each LSB meets 3 times annually for up to 2 hours at a time and location mutually agreed.
Who attends the LSB meetings?
- a) The Executive Head and/or Head of School
(b) 2 elected parents
(c) 1 member of the Va’ad Hachinuch
(d) 1 member of the LET
(e) up to 3 members appointed by the Local School Board;
(f) 1 staff member
(g) such other members as the Directors decide

Who sets the Agenda?
At the first meeting a Chair will be elected who will set the agenda for future meetings.
